Tai partners with Asante Africa to Sparks a Revolution in Lushoto with Oky
Lushoto, Tanzania – Ubiri Secondary School was abuzz with excitement as 300 young girls gathered to celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child. Organized by Asante Africa with collaboration with Tai Impact, the event was a powerful platform to empower these girls with knowledge that could transform their lives.
The evening before, a select group of students got a sneak peek of the Oky app, a revolutionary digital tool designed to support menstrual health. The app’s potential ignited curiosity, and by the next day, the entire school was buzzing with anticipation.
On the big day, the school transformed into a hub of learning and empowerment. Interactive stations focused on menstrual health, hygiene, and girls’ rights, creating an open and supportive environment for discussions. The girls eagerly explored the Oky app, realizing how technology can be a reliable ally in their health journey.
As the event concluded, the girls’ faces beamed with newfound confidence and knowledge. This wasn’t just a celebration; it was a catalyst for change. By equipping these young women with the right tools and information, we’re empowering them to reach their full potential and shape a brighter future.
