Coming together to tackle Gender-Based Violence in Tanzania

Harakati Za Ngeti yasema “inatosha” kwa unyanyasaji wa kijinsia   Mnamo tarehe 2 Julai 2021, Tai Tanzania ilitajwa kuwa mmoja wa wapokeaji wa fedha chini ya mradi wa UNFPA iAccelerator. Mfululizo wa video za uhuishaji Harakati Za Ngeti kutoka Tai Tanzania ulioibua uelewa na mabadiliko ya mawazo kuhusu Afya ya Uzazi, Ukatili wa Kijinsia (GBV) na masuala mengine mbalimbali ambayo yanakwamisha safari ya kitaaluma ya kijana, iligundulika kuwa ni nyenzo madhubuti ya kupambana na changamoto hizo.  Ukatili dhidi ya wanawake ni moja ya ukiukwaji mkubwa wa haki za binadamu. Ukatili wa Kijinsia unaharibu afya ya akili na kimwili ya waathirika wake. UNFPA ni moja ya mashirika ya Umoja wa Mataifa yanayoshughulikia usawa wa kijinsia na uwezeshaji wa wanawake, na kushughulikia matokeo ya kimwili na kihisia ya ukatili wa kijinsia. Kutokana na haya, kupitia mfuko wa dola 50,000 Tai Tanzania itapokea kutoka UNFPA inalenga kutengeneza katuni mbili za chapa tatu ambazo zitaelimisha jamii ya Watanzania kuhusu Unyanyasaji wa Kijinsia. Mradi huu unaendana na Lengo la maendeleo endelevu na. 5: Usawa wa kijinsia na inalenga kukabiliana na changamoto zinazowakabili wasichana wadogo na wasichana (AGYW), hasa masuala yanayohusiana na ubaguzi na jinsia – unyanyasaji wa msingi katika elimu na / au jamii.   Kwa kuzingatia hilo, Mwakilishi Mkazi wa UNFPA Tanzania, Bi. Jacqueline Mahon, na timu yake ya UNFPA nchini Tanzania, walitembelea ofisi ya Tai Tanzania kukabidhi na kuzindua rasmi mradi wa Harakati za Ngeti. Mradi huo utaendelea na ajenda ya UNFPA katika mikoa ambayo shirika linafanya kazi kwa sasa.  Pia, mpango huo unaweka kuongeza fursa ya kutoa uboreshaji wa ujuzi katika uhuishaji wa 3D kwa wasichana chipukizi . Tai Tanzania itaendesha vipindi vya mafunzo ya uhuishaji kwa wahitimu watano wa ambao watakaokuwa sehemu ya timu inayozalisha michoro ya mradi huo katika kiini chake.  Vipindi viwili vipya vya mfululizo wa Harakati Za Ngeti vinatarajia kuzinduliwa ndani ya siku 16 za harakati za kupinga ukatili wa kijinsia ambazo zinaanza tarehe 25 Novemba hadi tarehe 10 Desemba. Tunatarajia kuleta athari kubwa kupitia michoro hii ambayo itajenga jukwaa la kupunguza ukosefu wa usawa wa kijinsia katika kupatikana kwa elimu na pia katika jamii zetu.  Ili kujua zaidi kuhusu Tai Tanzania na matumizi yetu ya hadithi kwa kuleta mabadiliko ya tabia ya kijamii, tembelea tovuti yetu www.tai.or.tz.
